Who needs sleep?

Why is it that I'll lie in bed wondering what time it is because it must be time to get up already even though the alarm didn't go off and instead of just looking at the clock I'll toss and turn and wish I was asleep and think about work and think about unresolved life issues and think about what I might want to have for dinner three days from next Monday and when I can't stand it anymore I'll look at the clock and see my alarm is going off in 7 minutes and then I'll shut my eyes really tight and fall back asleep and then the alarm wakes me up and I'm grumpy and won't get out of bed for 20 minutes?

Yesterday I played this game for 2 and a half hours. Today for an hour. Damn sun flooding the master bedroom. Can't wait to move back to the guest bedroom where it's NICE AND DARK.

If you need a movie recommendation, we watched half of The Departed last night and judging just by that half we give it quadruple thumbs up. If you don't like mob violence then don't watch it. Otherwise, yes, watch. The dildo scene is brief and shouldn't have even been hyped in the media because there's nothing to it.

We both posted about sleep this morning. That's funny.

I don't remember hearing the media talk about a dildo scene. I still need to watch the movie, though.

Avi, we both posted about sleep because I invade your mind. And don't make me dig out the dildo sources. They're everywhere. They're very old now, but they were all over the celeblogs when the movie was going to theater.

The Departed is definitely excellent.

And why is it that I do the same thing? Woke up at 5:48 wide awake, knew my alarm was going off at 6:07. Didn't get up until 6:31, and even that was unwilling. Dammit.

At least I didn't feel ill when I woke up yesterday or today. Usually I feel very ill if I wake up that early in the morning.

I do that everydamn morning...I used to get up about 4:30 - now it's 6-ish. And I still make it to work on time (early)...and I still hate coming in.

dammit.

I do that sleep thing, too.

But I hated The Departed.

Tug, sorry to neglect you. I admit it, I never ever never never ever make it to work on time because (shhhhhhhh) I carpool with Hay and we're not coordinated enough in the morning to get to work on time BUT I always stay an hour late so I make up for it on the other end.

Oh, and I also don't take a lunch break. So, math: I am supposed to be to work for 8:30 but generally get there for 8:45, am supposed to work a 37.5 hour week with a half hour for lunch but never really take it, stay until about 5:45 every day. Soooooo, yup, definitely giving my employer their time and then some.

Plus I'm always on call. Back in the days of Sasser, Blaster, and the Netsky vs. Bagle/Beagle worm war I was up all hours trying to protect my clients from mass infection. It was f-u-n.
