A self called nowhere

So, I saw They Might Be Giants this weekend and I would just like to inform you that YOU NEED TO BUY THEIR NEW ALBUM, THE ELSE, WHEN IT COMES OUT AT iTUNES ON MAY 15* OR IN STORES IN JULY. BECAUSE IT RAWKS. SERIOUSLY.

And I'm in love with John Flansburgh. Full, blowed up, can't live without him, would have his babies if he really needed me to, in love with him. He looked right at me. I told him I loved him. He loves me too. He will be back in July to whisk me away. I cannot wait. Except I'll be gone most of July. Hmm. That's a problem.

*Not available yet for pre-order so I'll remind everyone on the date. :)

I just might have to go download their whole repertoire.

I saw them a long time ago in college. They sang Ana Ng. Somebody (either them or the opening act) also sang something called Wastepaper Basket Fire.

Avi - I thought you said you had their CDs already...? I have every full CD (not singles) they have ever done that isn't a kids album.

Bearette - They sang Ana Ng for us. :) They actually sang between 5-10 old songs while the rest were from the new album or were venue songs that they only do at concerts (not that you can't get their venue songs on CD, because you can). I saw them in college as well, back in '92 or '93, don't remember which. Soooooo good.

I'm so jealous. TMBG pretty much never comes to Iowa. Okay, to be fair, I think they did once.

*sniff*

I started looking at their discography and realized that I think I only have two of their CDs.

Liss - Any chance of moving or visiting a state where TMBG does play? :) The current tour is their secret tour, maybe their summer tour will swing by your place.

Avi - Two CDs is definitely not enough.

Thanks for the heads up on TMBG. I can't believe they've been around for more than 20 years now. Good stuff.

Dan - You are so very welcome.

K - They played Birdhouse. We did a lot of loud singing along to it. "Whoooooooo watches ohhhh-ver youuuuuuuuuu" and all that. Rawked. :)
