Katrina blog

Helpful but sad, Eye of the Storm keeps us informed about passable roads and the like in the aftermath of Katrina in Mississippi. Pictures of the destruction are posted, so only visit if you're feeling brave or ready to cry, or you really need to find out some info. The blog's tone was light-hearted in early posts, but more current posts express sorrow and urgency. Mike Keller and Josh Norman are the blog authors, and are reporters for the Sun Herald in Biloxi, MS.

On a similar note, Tiger Lilly emailed me about the survival of the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans, which I had also seen on Laurie's blog, Do You Know What It Means to Miss New Orleans? Tiger Lilly also sent me this direct link to the zoo's hurricane updates. Thanks to both of you, and I hope your family and friends are finally/still safe once some semblance of order is restored.
