And all I get are balloons...

The Mad Tech had a very interesting morning yesterday. He accidentally flipped off a Phoenix SWAT helicopter who was just trying to find a suspect:
Phoenix police, FBI searching for suspect in possible homicide

Gila River police, Phoenix police and the FBI are searching the area of 17th Avenue and Pecos for a suspect in a situation that resulted in quite a bit of blood at a home south of Phoenix this morning.

It all started at about 3:30 a.m. at a home at 51st Avenue and Pecos on the Indian reservation when the Department of Public Safety helicopter was called out for a homicide suspect. At the home, officers found what they describe as a large amount of blood, but there was not a body, an injured person or much to indicate what had happened.

About two hours later, there was a chase involving a car that investigators believe is from that home. The driver reportedly abandoned the car and took off on foot in the area 17th Avenue and Pecos in the desert just south of Ahwatukee.
Helicopters, officers and K-9 units have been searching the area all morning. Search teams have been going door to door, cutting gate locks to allow them into back yards when necessary.

According to Bruce Haffner, who has been following the story from NewsChopper 3, there have been possible sightings of the suspect in the neighborhood, but nothing definitive.

The FBI Evidence Response Team was called out to the original scene at 51st Avenue and Pecos. Video from NewsChopper 3 shows investigators examining the ground and what appears to be a knife.

Story from Fox11

The only chase that ever happens in my town is a chase for hot air balloons. There's a launchsite down the road from us, and people drive like maniacs to follow the balloons, or they hop out of their car and leave it abandoned in the middle of the main road while they go take photos. It's crazy, but not as crazy as Mad Tech's adventures. :)
