Admission

I intensely dislike nuts and raisins in baked foods. I just don't like the way the flavors of the nuts and raisins taste when baked. I love nuts raw, and tolerate raisins (but prefer grapes!). Just a little Poppy fact.

Oatmeal chocolate chip, I'm way down for that. Those are my absolute favorites!!! I make a mean oatmeal chocolate CHUNK when I can find the chunks. (My local store likes to taunt me by selling something nummy then removing it from the shelves.)

I'm not a huge fan of sweets but I do lurve big, fat, juicy raisins... especially in soft oatmeal raisin cookies. Sadly, though, I don't like nuts of any variety (much like my aversion to chocolate).

I cannot tell you how amused I am that you, the white squirrel named P'nut, do not like nuts. Irony. :)

Me too! I hate nuts in anything. I sometimes make cookies for people at work and one girl suggested that I put walnuts in my chocolate chip cookies. Ew. Why ruin perfection? :o)

The Doubletree hotel chain always has warm cookies for its patrons, but they're chocolate chip with walnuts! :( Nut allergies should be at least one reason why they don't include nuts, right?!
