Holding my head so my brain stays in one piece

I just had to post a blog entry for Roger's wife about her receiving an email from him about the US soldiers killed in several attacks in Iraq last week. The details are so gruesome that I instantly had to look away, hold my head, and tell myself to go to my happy place but not stay there. This is so hard. Being the communicator for these horrible details takes a toll. I cannot even imagine what it is like to be the soldier living through these experiences.
