Is it OK within Scientology to get knocked up pre-nup?

So much for her alleged "virginity until marriage" thing.

This is a huge scheme. He is so gay, and I wish he would COME OUT already, because there is NOTHING WRONG with being gay. Jesus Christ!

Oh Holy Jesus....

This reminds me of a funny story:

My husband works with a bunch of gossipy women, which makes him pretty much the same. While gossiping with three women one day, one of them commented on the great number of pregnancies on the second floor of their office and said, "Man! What's in the air up there?"

To which one of the other women replied, quite casually, "Feet."

Ha, get it?

I wonder what Tom's 2 adopted kids think of the news. I have a friend who is thinking of adoption, but when they do that they are going to ensure that they do not get pregnant even accidentally so none ever feel like 2nd class citizens. (Which happened to her friend whose sister was adopted... she always felt like that).

Joanne, that's so sad about your friend!

I am adopted, but my older brother and my younger sister are both biological children of my parents--they thought they couldn't have any more kids so they adopted me, and poof! 5 years later my sister came along.

I've never felt like a second class citizen in my family. In fact, I look so much like my sister that we can't tell our baby pictures apart! It makes me wonder at the parents that they would make their child feel that way.....

bdogg--

i am glad you said that, b/c i was about to say the same (but sans the personal experience). i do, however, know people who are in families with both adoptees and biological kids. makes no difference to any of them...

P.S. "According to a church spokeswoman, the Church of Scientology has no policy on children who are born out of wedlock."

Even if the Scientologists DID have a thing about no sex until marriage, I'm sure a nice donation to the Church will help them see the error of their ways... :)

The sisters were in kind of an icky situation all around. The natural child felt resentful because she did everything right (ie went to school, got good grades never needed bailing out) and her sis could screw up all the time and the fam would bail her out. The adopted one felt like she could never do anything right and so why bother to try anything. Natural child's resentment didn't help the situation at all. I was living with natural and adopted sis didn't visit very often but anytime she did it was very tense and weird.

I can see that too, Joanne. I've also seen adopted children resent their parents because they weren't the "real" parents. One of my best friends was adopted as well and she was so rebellious. I guess it just depends on the person and how they're raised. I just got REALLY lucky....

I heard a good one about this on XM this morning...

"Tom asked Katie to do something special for him before he could get her pregnant... He asked her to wear a Rob Thomas mask."

Get it?
