Okay, could someone please explain?

Is Laguna Beach a reality show, or a pretend reality show/mockumentary? Like Real World, or like The Office? I don't get it. Why would there be music and all those camera angles if it was real? Or, is it a loosely scripted fake show like Curb Your Enthusiasm? I'm so confused.

Oh it's real. No one could fake the raw emotion experienced to the depth that Kristen and Stephen feel it . . . [insert doubtful, maniacal laughter here.]

Kris, I'm going to kidnap you and send you to Bad TV Rehab!

Poppy, I have no idea - I've never this.

Oops, it's early. Forgot the "seen" in "I've never seen this."

I think it's kinda real but perhaps the kids are nudged into doing or saying certain things to be a little more entertaining.

I mean, I don't watch Laguna Beach.

THANK YOU. I had the exact same question and asked a girl who watches it. She said what Kim said; it's real but they're told to say certain things or to re-enact things if needed.

Either way, it's depressing as shit.
