The fiefdom of Bill ruined my summer

Did I mention I'm reading Microserfs by Douglas Coupland? I am. Just thought I'd mention. I love it. I'm such a nerd. It's what I read as a break from studying. My first practice test is next weekend. I'm 2/3 of the way through my reading for the exam. I'd love to just ditch it and have a trashy summer, but. Not gonna happen. That's okay, if it weren't for Bill I wouldn't have a certification to study for.

Oh, I loved that book. I barely remember it, as I read it about 8 years ago, but it was my intro to Coupland, and I've enjoyed plenty of other stuff from him since.

At a local reading a year or two ago, he mentioned he was writing sort of a sequel to Microserfs. That book is out now, and though my friend who read it reports that it's not much of a sequel, I imagine it's worth checking out anyway.

This comment is already way too long, but before I leave, I must also say, is today your birthday? Miss Jurgen says it is. Happy birthday, Poppy! You're 32 like me now, right? (It's really not so bad, I guess.)
