- A) just post photos, don't talk about them
B) post photos and describe the background story
C) talk about my life without photos, à la “I'm on dial-up you evil person! Photos make me grumpy.”
D) talk about celebrity gossip and nothing about myself
E) don't post for an entire day because then you don't feel bad about not visiting my site anymore

I'm not necessarily going to do anything with the information, except perhaps understand why hardly anyone is visiting my site anymore. I think when I stopped posting American Idol updates my readership took a nosedive. I mean, it's my blog so I should ultimately not care if it's being read. But, I do. A little. *sniffle* No, I'm okay.

I like it when you talk about you, celebrities, pics with background stories, and anything else. I like your blahg the way it is--eclectic. 'Cause I never know what I'll find when I click the link.

When I was on dialup... the background story was always preferred, becuase then I could read while I waited for the pics to load.
Now I'm on high speed, so a little of everything is good.
Poppy, my dear, I think you know how I feel, but I will make it clear: I thoroughly enjoy your blog.
I like the variety of subjects about which you post, I enjoy the photos immensely, I like it when you introduce me to new things, I am interested in what you want to tell us about your life, and I respect that there are things you just don't want to share.
The only thing I'm not overly interested in are the posts about certain things that happen in the News but that's not your fault, that's because the News itself often upsets me. (I only watch it or read the paper once a week... I get enough info from other folks talking about the crap that happens in this city and around the world).
In short, I really, really like you. You're one of my favourite blogs to read, and if I miss a day of checking in on you, it bothers me. I'm not a sicko, I promise! It's just that your blog is fun & serious & kooky & warm and it often makes me smile to know you're out there.
I've seen a drop in my readership, too, but I wouldn't worry about it. Now that the nice weather is here, I think people are starting to pull themselves away from the 'puter more. And if you've lost some readers, more will find their way to you, I'm certain of it. And even if they don't, you still have me (let's face it, that's all the really matters, right?), and the blog isn't really for us, is it? It's for you! You gotta do what makes you happy!

I just love your blog. I like when you talk about food, your life, your garden, work, your cats, TV. I like pictures with stories and without. I like the smattering of celeb gossip you insert into your blog. I like the fact that your blog is a slice of your life. It's real and that's what keeps me coming back for more.

I'm new and I like it all, even when it's about subjects I'm not particularly intersted in, like American Idol, actually. I like the surprise of the variety and your take on stuff.
I'm with Melissa on her first comment -- keep writing and posting about whatever strikes your fancy! Girl, it's your blog, do what you want with it.
And I think we're just sort of at a crossroads with blogs. The inital heyness has died out some, and I see a lot of blogs going dark. But a lot of us are still here, too. =)

So the long weird answer is that I don't visit too much right now because myself and a person I work with visit mine when I'm at my job and I refrain from going to my own blog when I'm at work because I'm trying to see how often this other person goes to it. And for some reason I never bother when I'm at home. Your link is on my sidebar so if I'm not going to my own blog, I'm not going to yours. :)
