“...and they called it skeev-aroni.”

Don't you hate it when you're sitting in a business meeting and someone makes a sexist remark about [insert your gender here] and you kinda uncomfortably brush it off, then s/he makes another remark and another and you just don't know what to do with yourself? Me, too.

That sucks. I would hate that. No one ever does that around me in meetings or in the office because I am the head of HR!

You don't have to be subjected to that type of crass behavior in the workplace.

Yes. I happens a lot where I work. And I usually tell them "that's enough from you, mister".

I think the best option in that situation is to speak up and politely let them know that you don't appreciate the subject matter.

If you don't speak up, or if you're indirect about your feelings, they may not understand that you are personally offended.

Yeah... I definitely raise a stink when someone says something like that. As in, "You'd better hope I don't start feeling all litigious anytime soon."
