- ...there was a terrorist attack of 3 separate bombs detonating in a marketplace in New Delhi on October 29? (Here's another link with a picture.)
- ...a pack of youths has been rioting in Paris for the last 7 nights?
- ...30 people were killed in riots in Ethiopia?
- ...hundreds of thousands of Pakistanis and Indians are still without aid after the earthquake which killed 73,000+ people? (An estimated 3.3 million people are homeless as the result of that quake.)

Now Poppy,
You know that rioting youth has been a way of life in Paris for centuries... remember Les Miserables? Evenually they will run out of Ricard, cafe ou Gaulois and get on to something else. Vive La France!
I know - every time I watch BBC news I'm reminded of just how UScentric our media is.
Well, to be fair, the real news would be if there wasn't a riot in Paris.
I spent a semester there when I was in undergrad, and there was at least one protest each week, and many of them got rowdy.
