It's a relatively short list for now, but I'm quite certain it will grow in length as I grow older. Anyone else got ageist names they want to throw out?

For me it's "girlie." That's the most annoying thing ever. I'm 25. I may be a girl and not mind being girl, but "girlie"??!

Oh, just wait until you get your first "ma'am". You'll be begging for those days of "chick", "hun", or even "bitch".
I hate being called ma'am. I'm only 24, for the love of all that is holy.
Oh, and sweetheart, honey, or anything along those lines from a stranger give me the heebie jeebies.
You know what's the worst? When the female doctor calls you "sweetie" when she' giving you a pap.
I'm not kidding. Happened to me on Monday. I almost vomited on the spot.

Jege - I'm just annoyed that I have GREY FREAKIN' HAIR and people younger than I am call me kiddo, etc. etc. DUR, people. And, I used to dress like a kid but I don't anymore so there's no excuse.

I'm 39, but don't feel it, don't act it and usually don't think about UNTIL someone calls me "ma'am" - and then all I can think about is that I'm only a few months away from 40.
