Congrats to Gwen and Angelina on the birth of their babies.Congrats to me for digging all those pesky ferns out of our 16'x25' wildflower garden!
Expect a delay in Sunday Garden, I've been diggin' in the dirt all weekend.
How did the Meatloaf duet come about? "They just came to me. It wasn't like it was my choice.*** They just said, Okay, you'll be singing with so-and-so...I didn't even know who he was. But now I do. He was like really big in the '70s, right?" (from: mj's blog, originally from: Entertainment Weekly)

I just Boot Camped my MacBook Pro. Took about an hour because Windows takes so freaking long to install. Runs slick! I wouldn't do it, except I am the leader of the Macheads so I need to have the knowledge and experience under my belt. Also, I need a Windows laptop for a conference I'm attending in the next few months, so this was the most cost effective (free!) option for me. It's Windows, so I'm not impressed or disappointed, but if anyone wants to ask me questions or talk about your experiences, here I am.

I ate a bag of popcorn as a snack* before heading home because I knew it would be several hours before dinner and didn't want to get low blood sugar. About a half hour after I ate the snack it was time to go home with Hay. As I was waiting outside for him my mind decided to wonder why there weren't other vegetables that could be popped. And, of course my mind thought of peas, which I hate, but pop-pea sounds like Poppy so I'm sure that's why my brain chose it. Imagine a dried out pea placed in a scorching hot pan. What would it do? Would it become poppea like its friend corn becomes popcorn, or would it just explode into bits and pieces and be disgusting? I don't own any dried peas to test this, but I see no evidence of anyone having mentioned poppea on the Internets before me (Poppea capitalized is a different matter...) so I'm claiming it as mine! All mine!!! Muhahaha! Except I hate peas, and I haven't tested to see the results yet, so what does that get me, exactly? Hmm.
That's secret code for fuck you American Idol. W00t to Chris. :) Even if he doesn't take the offer, Idol is very sorry they let him go.

*For some reason the calculation of fat on the calorie counter site shows up as Total Fat = 0g, but directly below it you'll see that Saturated Fat = 3g,
Did I mention that Hay and I are having a porch party? And that my parents in Tennessee (previously Florida) have decided to come up with their RV and all the furry kids to help celebrate?! Je suis psyched. You're all invited, if you can figure out where I live. (MIL, it's time for you to step up your reconnaissance mission!!!!) In preparation for the party I would like you to memorize some rules: This is a family-friendly event, so please don't get drunk, please don't swear like a pirate-sailor, and please don't set things on fire. Especially the cats. Thanks. We're serving lite refreshments (whatever those are) and non-alcoholic bevvies. I think the party deserves a cake, too. I'm pretty giggly-excited to see what you say in the comments section about all this. :)

for tonight. She has chosen to sing Black Horse and Cherry Tree (KT Tunstall). I've not heard of Ms. Tunstall before, but she has 36,000+ friends on MySpace, so someone has obviously caught on to her music. The Black Horse... song is available on her MySpace page, but I think perhaps it has too many woohoos in it, and she should have chosen Suddenly I See, the song that starts playing on her MySpace page (for now, at least) when you arrive.
When you're leaving comments on a Blogger blog with word verification turned on but you don't understand what the word verification letters are supposed to be you can click on the little accessibility/wheelchair icon to the right of the word verification box and a pattern of numbers will be spoken. If you type the numbers exactly as spoken they are equivalent to typing in the letters you see. COOL, EH?!?!?!?! EHH!! Lil, now we don't need to try to guess 12 times before we get it right! W00t!
My head wobbles like Katharine Hepburn's did when she was in her golden years. Aside from a slight scare that there might be something wrong with me neurologically, I'm quite flattered that my body would assume the involuntary actions of such an incredible woman.
