The last snow post
My employer closed its doors yesterday afternoon and won't open until tomorrow morning. If you ask anyone locally they'll tell you they don't ever remember my employer being closed. If you dig through the records you'll find that they did close about 20 years ago (although I thought it was 33 years ago, winter of the year I was born) for a blizzard. The roads are still impassible, there is risk of avalanches, high winds, and we are still on emergency weather status. Everyone is still digging out their own homes, and we don't much care about the rest of the world right now.

Yikes. I would love it if my place of business were closed, but I am glad I don't have to shovel my way out of a snowfall like that! It's pretty, anyway, so I hope you're enjoying that.

Bugger. It looks like you win. Not that we were in competition, but if we were in competition, you'd win. I don't know the official total, but we had a total of 11 inches in our driveway, and the top 3 inches was some strange combination of snow and ice. The nice thing about snow days is hot chocolate. I hope you had plenty of hot chocolate.
By the way, we did finally shovel our way out and saw a movie last night. Music and Lyrics with ... wait for it... Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. According to a certain online face recognition website, I look like Hugh Grant. Personally, I don't see it. He's older.
Wowza. That's a lot of snow. We didn't get anywhere near that much (20cm) and most of it is already gone (turned to slush). I always think it would be kinda fun to have that much snow and nowhere to go!
