Tomorrow night I'm working straight through till 10pm so I'm taking comp time Friday afternoon. Hay and I are going to lunch then seeing a movie. We saw HP, and might actually see it again with friends on Saturday. What else do you recommend we see Friday? I've heard mixed reviews for the Johnny Cash movie, and that's about it for movies. I want to go see something to keep our minds off our stupid house problems, so nothing about house repair, please.

I saw Shopgirl and don't recommened it. I saw Rent and LOVED it, despite the fact that it got so-so reviews. However, the characters do have a hard time paying the rent and get evicted in the movie, so either it will make your home situation seem better, or you'll just end up feeling sorry for people having house issues. I heard great things about Walk the Line and that definately won't have anything to do with home repair.
Have i helped? I'm not so sure.
Ooh, that is helpful. I also snuck to the movie theater site and saw that Aeon Flux is coming out on Friday!!! Woohoo! I think we might go for that one of Walking the Line. Will have to see what Hay thinks. I'm game for either.
*or Walking the Line. How about I read what I write before I post it? Yah. Not gonna happen.
Pride and Prejudice was really good, and has nothing to do with house repair.
"Diamond Lil" didn't like it, but I liked ShopGirl, but it's kind of a girl movie. "Walk the Line" was good, the acting was great, but it was long. My derrière was aching after the first hour. I've read that Reese and Joaquin learned to sing before they started filming. They do a good job, and it's all their voices.
(I'm a commenting fool today!)
I LOVED Walk the Line. Rent didn't do it for me; it seemed dated and awkward on film.
Don't know if it's your style, but Capote absolutely blew me away.
