For some reason I didn't have to explain why I wanted a post-apocalyptic book about zombies, but did have to explain the back cover of Amy's book:

Why is it that you have gone post-crazy when I've had the least time to read?
I played the Wii for the first time last night, and someone we were with hurt her wrist a bit playing bowling.
Bowling and Golf are amazing. We only had one controller, so playing the others was out of the question.
Making the little Miis, though, was fun.
I want that zombie book, too. I've heard good things about it.
Z has been great so far. And I got the Sedaris book for Mrs. ACW. She hasn't gotten to it in her new pile of books yet though.
The back of the Amy Sedaris book reminds me of the movie October Sky. The mom spends quite a bit of time in her kitchen painting directly onto a wall a picture from when she & her husband went to Myrtle Beach. Probably not related though.
