"It's like Cap'n Crunch... but bluer."
You can get him some good solid generic outdoorsman stuff- Like good boots, warm quilted flannel shirt- earmuffs, etc. That way he can use it for sledding and gathering firewood.
Get him a camera, instead. My husband was raised in the manly ways and has done a fair amount of hunting in his day, but now he prefers taking photos of the animals he hunts instead of killing anything.
I'm with you, Poppy. I wouldn't buy one single item even remotely related to the activity because I wouldn't want to even remotely support it. The unnecessary "sport" or "hobby" of hunting & killing animals disturbs & disgusts me to no end.
Oh man. That is a tough one. I have never hunted and never will. Just the thought of it makes me teary. I can't imagine shooting anything. That said, a lot of people live on the meat. When I was growing up my best friend's mom and dad did not have a lot of money. They hunted and fished. That is how they survived.I am with the above person that mentioned outdoorsman gear. Or a subscription to Green Peace. Yeah. That would be nice too!
