dinner

Last night I had the following:
  • Harpoon's UFO raspberry hefeweizen*
  • Pepperidge Farm roasted garlic bread with an arrabiata dipping sauce
  • MorningStar Farms veggie corn dogs with yellow mustard
  • Generic brand potato skins, straight up
It's one of the tastiest dinners I've had in a long time. And I love to eat.

Yes, I ate that entire plate of food. I don't know if that's a lot, but I was super full after for sure. :)

*I'm a simple girl and I will generally choose a cheap JW Dundee's honey brown for a flavored beer, but the grocery store only sells it in 12-packs and I just wanted a 6-pack. Cost-wise this is a dumb choice, but fridge space-wise it's a smart choice. :)

salty goodness

Georgie's feet smell like Dipsy Doodles.

They do not taste like Dipsy Doodles, unfortunately.

Update: At Jenna's request, I am including a photo and link. Dipsy Doodles are rippled corn chips. They are deliciously salty and heartburn-inducing and I love them. I never eat them, though. I just sniff Georgie's feet instead.

Free chips!

If you've never had Kettle chips then you're not living. If you love chips (I know some of you don't, I get it, shush) then please point your browser over to the Kettle neighborhood and guess how many chips fit in the smart fortwo car. If you win the contest you get free chips for a year!

The likelihood of you winning: Not very likely.

The likelihood of you having a good time guessing anyway: Very likely.

Please note that I have not had the cheddar beer chips yet, but as soon as I locate some I'm eating an entire bag. Potato plus cheese plus beer equals love.

"My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard."

I have it on good authority that these are very tasty:

milkshake

I also have it on good authority that this is the best milkshake video on the planet:

*giggle*

Okay, and I just tried one two and they're delicious. Is he ever wrong?! No, he is not.

Yummy2

When I was a kid I dreamed of growing up and having lots of exotic cats, a dark house à la Elvis's bedroom, and a never-ending supply of Doritos. Seriously.

I really enjoy this commercial's cleverness of integrating the words that describe the product into also describing the situation. And the physical comedy is hilarious, too. :)

Totally unrelated, Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope you get a pot of gold and no hangover. And maybe a visit from Colin. :D

yummy to my tummy; not yummy to my tummy

I do normally chew with my mouth closed, because I was raised properly in that one respect, but I think I may have just inhaled an entire snack bag of Lay's salt & vinegar chips without bothering to chew. NUM. In case you were wondering what Poppy's all-time favorite chip flavor is, you just found out. The brand of chip is inconsequential, just keep the vinegar coming to me.
Conversely, I'm not so keen on the Godiva dark chocolate coffee drink. Believe it or not (I don't), it's too sweet. These words come from a woman who adds 3-4 teaspoons of sugar to 8 oz of coffee. I guess I don't like Belgian chocolate mixed with coffee, because my tongue loves the sweet Starbucks equivalent which is made with American-made Ghirardelli, I believe. Don't get me wrong, I loooooove Belgian chocolates, especially when I'm standing in Belgium at the time, but I think they're complex enough without adding a coffee element to distract from their unique flavor. Anyone else have a comment about this? I assure you I don't prefer American chocolate over chocolates of the world, considering my favorite chocolates are Cadbury (made in England, not the Hershey kind) and Lindt.

The best effing cookie on the new kids block

Pepperidge Farm Dark Chocolate Mint Chocolate Chunk Cookies. So new that there aren't any images out in the world for me to borrow, so here ya go.

Pepperidge Farm Dark Chocolate Mint Chunk Cookies

I love mint. I love dark chocolate. I love cookies. I love the two glasses of fat free milk over ice that I had with these cookies. I'm one happy lady.
