Comments are now a PITA, but pitas are tasty!

Hi all, the spambots have found me. I don't want to go to Haloscan and lose all my old comments, so instead I have enabled a feature that forces you to type in garbled words in order to post. Thanks to the unknown blogger who had this feature enabled so that I knew Blogger was now offering it! :)

  1. That's pretty smart, blog spam is the worst.

  6. Right on Jurgen. Right on.

My blog is about bird's nest fungus. And how to bypass word verification technology.

    I know, not cool. :)

  8. I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I have seen this on another site and couldn't figure out what it was, but now I know. It was a stupid pol stumping to be re-elected. I hope it will stop. Lovely photos, btw. It sounds as if you had a nice weekend.

  9. I was having a lot of comment spam with Blogger, but since I have moved to my own host and started using Movable Type I haven't had any. I wish these jerks would just quit the spamming already, though!

  10. I may have to do this as well. I've been hit w/lots of spam comments, etc. I was going to switch to no anon comments, but that may inconvenience people & they won't bother commenting!
