thunderstorms

Lightning strikes so fast I couldn't process each one individually. They danced through the sky but didn't touch the ground so no thunder. It was beautiful.

But then when one would go against the pack and strike the ground a low belly rumble rolled through the air.

The rain was torrential.

There have never been so many thunderstorms with hail and tornado warnings any other year of my life, let alone in such a concentrated amount of time. Why, do you suppose?

It's summer?

RW, are you being smart with me? I think you are. I know that, but the number of days in a row we've had thunderstorms in a state with very few thunderstorms yearly is a bit much. Ya know? Aren't you experiencing the same?

Yes of course I'm being a smartass with you and no I'm not really experiencing anything different than most summers.

But life is like baseball... sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and sometimes it rains.

Ooooohhhmmmmm....

You have encapsulated the sound of thunder! How? HOW? Genius!

Should we talk about the weather? Should we talk about the government?

That's an REM lyric, isn't it?

//jif - Of course it's an REM lyric. That was always the intention of that label and K is smart enough to pick up on my randomness. :)
