Did you know:

...there was a terrorist attack of 3 separate bombs detonating in a marketplace in New Delhi on October 29? (Here's another link with a picture.)
...a pack of youths has been rioting in Paris for the last 7 nights?
...30 people were killed in riots in Ethiopia?
...hundreds of thousands of Pakistanis and Indians are still without aid after the earthquake which killed 73,000+ people? (An estimated 3.3 million people are homeless as the result of that quake.)

I feel so out of touch with the rest of the world. All I've heard this week is that Scooter and Karl are bad little boys.

Now Poppy,

You know that rioting youth has been a way of life in Paris for centuries... remember Les Miserables? Evenually they will run out of Ricard, cafe ou Gaulois and get on to something else. Vive La France!

Well, to be fair, the real news would be if there wasn't a riot in Paris.

I spent a semester there when I was in undergrad, and there was at least one protest each week, and many of them got rowdy.
